Sounds like there may be a bad wire on that circuit or you are having an oil level problem.

The light regards pressure, not oil level. If the light comes on you have lost oil pressure, or else your sensor thinks you have. Check your oil pump. As a car gets older it is not unusual for there to be a slight loss of oil pressure when first started. However, once you are moving you should have specified oil pressure. Be aware that the sensor is the problem as ofter as the pump is.
