1997 Ford Ranger's gas tank is pressurized, why?

Question:
I took the gas tank off of my Ranger to check the fuel pump, the fuel pump was fine so I put it back on. However, now when I pump gas if I hold the handle all the way down the gas pump will cut off and gas will spew back out. So I have to pump the gas at about one third of the max speed of the pump. I have no idea if something went wrong or what when I put the tank back on, if you have any idea please help.

I had a leaking master cylinder replaced and now I'm barely stopping?

you must have pinched vent tube it has to be open most fuel injected autos have pressure on gas tanks i think it has two reasons emissions/closed curcit fuel system could be wrong

something is leaking from my car and i dunno what is it?

I really don't understand. Tanks have a vac pressure from the charcoal canister. Sometimes it will clog up. Spitting gas thru the intake, sounds like timing belt ( if 4 cylinder). Fuel cutoff switches can go bad.

1995 Subaru Impreza battery or alternator problems?

Could have pinched the vent tube while installing.
