Question:
Recently we've had some cold weather below 20 degrees. I'm not sure if the temperature has anything to do with it. Sometimes my steering wheel makes a squeaking sound when I "cut" it. Is this something I need to worry about?

about 93 olds achieva ? transmission?
Under the steering wheel is what is known as the "clockworks", which is what turns your turn signals off after turning, and makes the conection from your horn button to the wiring of the horns (also, in some cases, the cruise control also). When the temp is lower, the grease that lubes the clockworks does not lube as well as normal, and the contacts cause the squeak.
