My Citroen AX 1993 1.0 Debut electrics failed last night - twice! Is it just the battery?
HI, double check to make sure it is the clutch it could also be your rear differential. If the cars move forward in first gear but you hear a awful clunking noise then it is most likely your rear differiental but if the car goes into gear and you smell a burning smell then it is your clutch assembly.and if your clutch won't engage then possible be your clutch slave it is beside the transmission housing. It is the part that make your clutch pedal engage and disengage. Good luck.when i fuel up my car, it stopped in the middle (75% full)?
You don't need a new car, just a new clutch. To have one installed will run around $350, which is far less than a new car, and, will last a long time as long as you don't ride the clutch.Do anyone know if there is a on line manual for a 95 VW jetta III?

what to do when you go to a car wash?pls?
Clutches are made in the idea that the drive clutch ( for lack of a more specific answer) is going around all the time the motor is going. When you let out the clutch, the opposing clutch assembly engages with the drive clutch and your car moves. There is a spring that presses the two clutch parts together, sometimes that spring gets weak also. When that happens your clutch doesn't engage properly and you car doesn't go.
I made this as simple as I could. There is a more specific answer, but this one will answer the same question for one who doesn't know about cars.

It just simply wore out. A clutch is a wear item just like tires, just a clutch last longer. A clutch has a facing that is covered with a material called a lining and as you use the clutch it slowly wears the lining down and eventually will wear out and no longer work.More Questions & Answers ...
