Answers:
check the fuel pump regulator.it could be sticking and not letting the fuel come through.
At what point can you take a new car back?
sure the pump is pushing the correct psi?My Truck has vibration after 170Kmph.?
My 2000 Blazer just ate its fuel pump, left me stranded. Actually out of the 8 blazers I've owned...4 of them have dumped on me.
This is a common issue on the Blazer for all its years. GM won't fess up and make it a recall. Pump, sending unit has to be bad, not enough psi, clogged line due to sediment. cause since she fires up when you dump in, that rules out any spark issues.
Heater problems with Dodge Dakota.?
Don't quote me but my mind says 17 psi for the fuel or 34. Recall something like that from the tech.
...Awi is on the right track.Confirm fuel pressure and volume delivery when in no start mode. My second GUESS would lead me to believe that a sensor/sensors are giving false but(within spec) readings. Many GM's enjoy extra body/engine ground connections to overcome illogical failures.
Fuel flow at the release valve?
You will need a test gauge about $45
I would expect 30PSI or more.
The injectors are fired by the computer.
In a quiet place when you first turn the key on you should be able to hear the fuel pump in the tank run for 3 - 5 seconds, enough to build pressure in the fuel rails.
At normal pressure's it wont just dribble out of the schradder fitting, it will hose you.
i drive 1999 altima. it has 60K miles.car makes noise while making left turns.?
This thing requires 41+ PSI fuel pressure to start. Your fuel pump may be just weak. Quite typical for gm.More Questions & Answers ...
