Im not comfortable with the gear system in my Honda Shine bk which got recently how do u get it smooth?

I got it in september last. Even after two services, I am not very sure about inwhich gear the vehicle is moving at times giving me great difficulties. Is there anyone with similar experience who would help with suggestions to set it right?

Man, if you have been driving that car since last September and can't tell what gear you are in, then you don't need to be driving. I'm not trying to sound smart, but I can drive a car for a couple of days and tell you what gear it's in by the sound of the motor or the tach and speedometer.
