I would say that the transmission is just about toast. Reverse is usually the first gear to go when a transmission is ready to quit. I think I'd have it looked at before it leaves you up the creek. I'm no mechanic, but I've had a couple of standard transmissions go on me, and reverse was the first one to quit, both times. That's all I know. Good luck there pal.More Questions & Answers ...
