My 2000 Intrepid used to get around 425 miles a tank, now it only gets around 350.
Does anybody know how to reset the fuel saftey swithch on a 2003 olds alero?

I use the same oil as before, and I've even tried the fuel cleaner additive.
Only things I can think that may have affected it:
1991 GMC Jimmy,Digital gauge (speedo only) goes out,bad ground? how come then only the speedo?

The air filter is the #1 thing to do...replace it now.Other possible problems are a faulty engine thermostat or coolant sensor. A fuel leak. Low air pressure in the tires. A problem with the torque converter clutch or transmission. A faulty fuel pressure regulator. A lot of things need to be checked. Sounds like you need to go see a good mechanic.

Is someone stealing your gas? Does it have a fuel filter that needs to be changed? Fuel cleaner additive is a good thing to add to your gas. It seems to help my gas mileage to a small degree. Maybe you should take your Intrepid in and them check all of the filters, belts, fluid levels, and everything else that should probably be checked on.My key keeps turning in the ignition..help!?
K&N air filter,, dont get a cheap one, it makes a huge difference,, and think of a tune up.replace your air filter and check all vacuum hoses for small leaks.
