Question:
I would like good pads and rotors that aren't outrageous in price but will last a long time and be safe to use.

Answers:

Fuel problem with 1997 Ford F-150?

Call an autoparts store Napa is a good one, tell them you want pricing on premium pads (best) and have them price standards as well. Pads are warrantied (the good ones) BUT.... they must wear evenly, improperly worn pads indicate other front end problems and will not meet the warranty requirements if this happens. Pads are warrantied for a year at best. Really not an expensive purchase at top of the line. Price difference may be $20.00 or so between premium/standards. Can your rotors be recut? This may be an option instead of replacement.

you can get the pads at auto zone, but i would ask for cast iron rotors.

do some homework on the phone, call parts stores and a GM dealer see what they say , ask for prices then buy , there are diffent grades of shoes and rotors make sure you buy right.
