Question:
I need to take the battery and shelf it sits on out to access one of 2 bolts in order to remove an upper control arm. Can I hook a set of booster cables from a spare battery to the battery cable terminals in car before remove it from car? I'm thinking this way power supply would not be interupted to radio, I would make sure the cables do not contact each other while doing this. My concern is would having 2 batteries hooked up to my vehicle momentarly cause a problem to any of the electrics because there would be too much voltage. I would of course have ignition off and key out.
thanks for any advice.

You can get an adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter or power outlet that has a 9 volt battery on it. It will keep your radio from losing its settings.can a malfunctioning speedometer on a '95 ford taurus be repaired instead of new installation?
just take the battery out, do your work, then drive to a Honda Service department and have them input the code to turn the radio back on. Call first to make sure, they do it hear all the time. You need to keep the engine running while u remove the battery and the upper control arm. Then put it back or call the dealer and they could help but they will charge. Also call the dealer for the code for the radio
I want to purchase/install an ECU for my 2006 lancer, how do I go about doing this?
i've heard that you have to take the radio out but this is what I have found on a couple of Hondas. These where not cr-v's but in the owners manual case. there is another little book and in that book there should be a card about the size of a credit card. On that card should be the code. So just try and search all available info in the glove box. THere should be a couple of different books and papers. Like I said it is not in the owners manual but in a seperate book or folder. Not possitive about the CR-V's but like I said this has worked on many Honda's for me at my shops.More Questions & Answers ...
