Question:
My car is a Jeep and has about 90,000 miles on it, we bought it used at about 60,000 so I have no clue what the previous owner did to it....I get regular oil and filter changes but that's basically it but I'm getting worried and think I should start doing other things to it...what things should be done? I thought of tune up and tire rotation but can't think of anything else -- what should be done during a tune up as well? Thanks

Can Body filler be applied to wood ?
With regular maintenance, you should be OK. If you want a more complete check-up, it will cost you. This includes a compression check, dyno testing, oil analysis, and a complete inspection. If the Jeep is running OK, don't go that far. A simple spark plug, cap/rotor and wire change will be enough. Is there an abrasive to get rid of small rock chips on car glass windshields?
if it has an automatic trans then i would recommend getting the trans serviced. other than that and a full tuneup it most likely is OK.Well a tune with spark plugs and a distributor cap. Maybe replacing the old antifreeze with new. An air filter. Maybe check your brake thickness.
It might pay you to take it to a reliable repair shop and let a pro look at it. basically you should change the plugs and if it is running rough, change to plug wires, rotor cap and rotor. also look at all the hoses and the fan belt.
How often should I do a "tune up" on my 91' Tercel?
plugs, distributor cap, rotor, wires, flush the transmission if it an automatic. drain and fill the trans if it's a manual. drain and fill the differentials and transfer case. flush the cooling system, power steering, and brake system. all the fluids wear out over time. all need to be replaced periodically.More Questions & Answers ...
