Question:
I bought a used 2004 Nissan Sentra from a dealership in August with 11000 miles on it. So far every morning when it's been below freezing, the car won't start until mid-morning when the sun heats it up enough. I tried using Heet water-removal additive with my last tank of gas and it worked perfectly. When I got a fresh tank the other day, the same problem has cropped up every freezing morning since.
found an auto repair policy for mechanical repairs only. cost 300 a year. good deal?
I have a co-worker who insists the fuel filter needs to be replaced, but the dealership (whom I've already taken the car to twice to be fixed for this problem) doesn't think so because they say the filter is in the gas tank. I have no idea what that has to do with anything. What's a permanent fix for this? I'd really rather not have to keep buying the Heet for every tank of gas I buy.

Hmm, you might have dirty fuel lines, get a bottle of techron and dump it in there.Your fuel filter isnt a service item, you don't have to replace it.

If your car is under warranty go to the dealership and tell them to fix it, if not, look online, im sure at least one other person has had your same problem with the same model and year.

I bought a code reader for my 2000 Pontiac Grand AM. Where do I plug into the car ?
Could be your battery. Some weak ones won't crank in the cold. Have it checked for "cold cranking power".More Questions & Answers ...
