2005 Hyundai Elantra -Mileage?

Question:
My 2005 Elantra which used to give 28mpg now gives only 15-16 mpg in the city and abt 25mpg on the hwy. It has abt 32,000miles on it. Will a regular tune-up take care of this or is it a bigger trouble? Should I use premium fuel?

Answers:

whats the matter with a vechile that wont go in to park?

i mechanic for a living,,and it should be getting a little better than that ,id say a good tune up will help it,,when you have it done have them check everything those usually get real good mileage,,but id say right now your in need of a good thorough tune up and that should bring the mileage back up again,,good luck hope this help,s.

How much does an alignment usually cost?

The Elantra is a tank when it comes to maintenance. It should be taken care of with a regular tune up and filter change. You should have a 100,000 mile warranty so just take it to the dealer and tell them to check everything.
