I'm thinking of buying a Ford Focus, does anyone know if they are good cars? I don't want it to break down. It is a 2000 model and has 85,000 miles on it. Any advice?

Honestly, for the cost it is what you get- they aren't bad cars- they have a lot of acceleration and spunk... however there are two bad blind spots on them (my friends who own one also agree) the first is the super high tailgate (especially if its the version with the spoiler) and the second is the placement of the bar separating the side windows- even checking mirrors and all, the blind spots have caused me more problems than the 15 passenger vans I drive for work.
Car died when put in gear and other problems?
Space is great- my friends never complain and the trunk is very handy.

Honestly I wouldn't recommend it compared to other 2000 cars to a friend because I've lost faith in the ford corporation and their convient parts that fail but need replaced by licensed technitions.

THE ONLY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE FOCUS IS THE FUEL PUMP, AND WINDOW REGULATORS. PRETTY GOOD CAR. AT THAT MILEAGE PROBABLY NEEDS MOTORS MOUNTS THOUGH. IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT.More Questions & Answers ...
