1989 Chevy Blazer 4.3L V6 won't start when cold...?

Question:
It's the middle of winter in RI, and I just got 1989 Blazer Very Used, which doesn't start 90% of the time when its very cold out. It will crank, and crank but no fire. Then battery drains dead. When not so cold it usually starts up no prblem...why?

Answers:

2000 Mustang?

Possible coolant sensor or mass air flow sensor.

Disk brakes wearing too fast?

how old is the battery? I suspect with the cold, the speed in which it turns over your engine is too slow. At colder temps your battery will lose almost half its cranking power. Might want to try new.
