Question:
I've got a '94 Toyota Camry and I'm planning to take it into one of those oil /quick repair places tomorrow to get checked out - I've been low on cash recently and haven't been able to maintain it too well. I'm going to get the fluids checked and air put in the tires - what else should I have done? The tires are fine, I've checked the treads. I'm not sure how often I should get the brake pads replaced - they haven't been replaced in the 3.5 years I've owned it. They aren't making noise or anything, but I worry anyway.
How do i change the headlight on a 1999 Ford Mondeo?
If it helps, I've replaced the spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor and distributor cap, muffler, flux pipe, alternator, and radiator in the last 3 years.
My saab's hand brake is stuck in the on position how can i get it unstuck?
Do I need new brake pads? What else should I get checked out?
Answers:
IF U HAVN'T CHANGED YOUR BRAKES IN 3 YEARS, IT'S VERY CLOSE TO CHANGING THEM. BRAKE PADS USUUALY LAST AROUND 30,000 MILES. OFCOURSE EVERY SET OF PADS IS DIFFERENT. SOME MIGHT BE MORE, SOME MIGHT BE LESS. I WORK AT A FORD DEALERSHIP AND WE RECOMMEND NEW PADS WHEN THEY MEASURE 3 MM OR LESS, U DON'T WANT TO WAIT UNTIL THEY SQUEEL TO GET THEM REPLACED CAUSE THEN U RUN INTO THE CHANCE OF DAMGING UR ROTORS WHICH WILL COST EVEN MORE MONEY TO REPLACE. CHANGE UR OIL EVERY 3 MONTHS OR 3,000 MILES. CHECK UR BELT AND ASK IF THERE ARE ANY LEAKS UNDERNIETH UR CAR THAT ARE DRIPPING TO THE FLOOR. IF U HAVE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS MAKE SURE TO ADD UR MILEAGE AND HOW LONG IT'S BEEN SINCE UR LAST SERVICE.
where do u go to get a hybrid car serviced?
Oil/filter change, transmission serviced. As far as your brakes, you can take your car to a tire shop as most tire shops will do free brake checks, I know for 100% fact that Les Schwab tires does free brake checks. I have my brakes checked everytime I have my tires rotated (every 6,000 miles). How do I remove the wheel hub form my 1990 Honda Accord?
