Cloth baby diaper material is very soft, will not scratch and will not leave lint. I am not sure about micro fiber, though I know it is equally soft. They have drying shamis. Why not take a quick trip to an automotive store like Champion, CarQwest, etc? They have items specifically for drying. Check out the content, then either purchase or feel comfortable with the material you have at home based on your findings.

Truthfully i have never heard of using a baby diaper,but i have heard of stranger things used.I personally would not use one.Diapers have a plastic lining in them.Now that would scratch your paint.Just go out and buy a GOOD shammmy.Do not buy a cheap one.They will dry up and get all hard.Shammy's are the best way i know to dry a vehicle without scratching it,unless you can find some kind of high powered air dryer system like they have in some car washes.Hope this helps.
