If you can, remove the exhaust manifold. If you are lucky and the bolts are not broken off flush, you can use a pair of vice-grips to remove the bolts, turn slightly clockwise to break the rust loose. If they are broken off flush, you will need to have the bolts drilled and tapped or maybe drilled and can use an easy out to remove them. If there is no room to get in with a drill, may need to have the engine removed from the truck. I think we did one of these a few weeks ago, the bolts were broken flush on the left bank at the back. We had to move the steering shaft out of the way and then went in with a drill and used an easy out to remove the bolts and replaced ALL of the bolts with new bolts and installed a new manifold gasket.
