When testing two cables with a multimeter, which one is the negative and which the positive?
There are a few companies who offer performance parts, including internals (rotating assembly) for those cavaliers. I have seen a supercharged 2.2L pre-ecotec cavalier running in the high 12s with a supercharger setup similar to that found on the cobalt SS. Check with GMPP, and then look around on performance store webpages, as i KNOW there are supercharger kits available, although they arent cheap...they are, however, cheaper and easier than trying to wedge a bigger motor into the car.Help With 94 Merc Sable smells like burning?
Im Not To Familar With Chevys But I Have A Dodge Grand Caravan It Had A 2.0 4 Cyl When I Got It i Put A 6.0 6 Cyl In It So You Can Put A 6 Cyl In Yours Too But You Will Have To Change The Transmison ConverterYou can fit ANY engine in any car. That is why they make motor mount adaptors for. I am pretty sure you could put a 6 cylinder in. But then you have to get another transmission and maybe change the wiring a little. What about the shaft to the wheels if it if FWD. But if you asked this question then that shows you would not have the knowledge to do it yourself. Unless you got the bucks and take it to a shop to trick it out for you then.

I just bought a 2004 Dodge Intrepid with 70,000 miles on it. Do Intrepids last long?
You shouldn't have any problem putting a Chevy big block in there. Go for the 500+ HP 572 cubic inch monster.you can put a 3.1 v-6 in it and there's all kinds of add ons for that engine, but a good 3.1 runs real good to start with, some the cavaliers came with the 2.8,s in them, but a good 3.1 will really make it run good,i had a newer one with one in it,and it would smoke the tires on a dead start ,you might want to check into it though, those are good engines, and there's plenty of them around also, good luck,i hope this help,s.
