My car has been making some funny sounds lately. There is a brief moaning or honking noise coming from under the car when I accelerate from a stop. My husband said that the ball joints may need to be greased. If anyone has any other ideas as to what it might be, or knows how to locate and grease these joints on a 2000 Ford Mustang, it would be greatly appreciated.
What would be the best place to repair auto interior lights?
Could dirty brake fluid cause this? When I took it down to get inspected a week ago they said the brake system should be flushed.

The factory ball joints on a Mustang do not have grease zerks so you can not top off the grease. That may not be the source of your noise anyway. Outer tie rod ends are a frequent source of such noise complaints on Ford vehicles. They don't have grease fittings either.1990 s-10 blazer fuel problem?
And no, it is not dirty brake fluid that is causing this.

dont be surprise if you dont find any fittings,because alot of the newer car are factory packed and you cant grease them,but that doesnt sound like your problem,it might be the struts.take some lube and spray the bushings on the struts,sounds like they are dry.Need information about a transmission for a 1990ford truck with a 300six cylinder?
no grease fittings in the newer cars and your noise could be sway bar bushings going bad or upper control arm bushings, have it checked out.More Questions & Answers ...
