Can I use SHOPKEY software on another computer?

Question:
I have Shopkey automotive software on an old computer and I would like to transfer it to a newer computer. I burned the entire C drive of the old computer to CD's and copied all the information to the newer computer. But I can't get it to run. Any suggestions?

Remove the hard drive from the old computer and install it as a slave in the new one! run the program from the slave, and it should work. After you have run the program, copy from the slave to the master hard drive. You then should be able to remove the slave and put it back in the old computer.

You may need to redirect any shortcuts that you have that reference the slave drive!!

I'm afraid you need the original CD that you used to install the program on your first computer in order to install it on your new computer. Just copying the program files won't work for most programs. You need to run the installation program.
