battery light was on for a day as i was driving the car. It took a jump we managed to get the car home we had to jump it 4 times,The funny thing is as long as the jumper cables are attached to the 2 cars it stays running as soon as you take them off it stalls,does it sound like the alternator or a pulley because it makes a noise tensioner pulley and idle pulley was replaced also the belt

It is defiantly your alternator then because the car need the battery to stay running and if the battery is dead and not charging, it will stall. HOPE THIS HELPS!perhaps it could be something simple as your battery cables being loose.
