As you mentioned you replaced the timing belt.If the engine rotates but will not start; the timing is off and can be adjusted by the distributor cap.
If vehicle has a computer; consult a professional mechanic, you may want to do this anyway.

If it was broken than it might be bent valves.
If it was not broken than it could be the fuel or electrical problem.
Most likely fuel pump.
Since it was running before, the belt was replaced, and not after, I would double check the valve timing. If it is one notch off the engine will not run. Make very sure the marks are in the proper location when tightening the belt and they don't move.
