Has anyone had a problem with a bad exhaust smell inside car when hot and idling after head gaskets replaced?

Question:
I just had both head gaskets replaced in my 2002 Subaru Outback, and now when the engine is hot and I'm idling (i.e. at a stop light) I get a really bad exhaust smell inside the car. Any thoughts? The dealership isn't having any luck.

i own a repair shop, and you shouldn't be smelling exhaust like that ,,they might have left a bolt loose in the manifold or something,,id take it back and have the check it real good there's a possibility something is loose on it,there responsible for seeing to it that it doesn't have these problems after they work on it,so take it back,,I'm sure you payed very well to get this repaired,,good luck hope this help,s.happy new years.

Yes, the repair person didn't get the exhaust manifold sealed

i have questions about a cold air intake?

Exhaust manifold is loose, or gasket bad, or exhaust pipe loose. They might have torqued the exhaust pipe and broke a connection loose.
