Directional signal switch - 1994 GMC Sonoma?

Question:
The signal switch on my truck when in the intermittent mode will all of a sudden run continuously or when I turn them off they continue to run. Does the module behind the switch need replacing? Or does the manual part of the signal need replacing.
Thanks

The module behind the switch, the stem does nothing but activate the module.

Are you talking about the switch for the wipers, if you are, the problem lies within the wiper motor itself and needs the pulse module replaced. You should be able to replace that part yourself, if it's the combo/turn signal switch within the steering column, you may need to have someone else replace it, since it requires special tools to remove the lock plate and snap ring on the tilt mechanism. GOOD LUCK.
