I have a 98 ranger and im hearing a rattle/popping sound when the suspention articulates?

Question:
when ever my suspention moves even if it moves just a little bit i seem to hear a rattling/popping sound from under the truck i can tell that it's the suspention but i'm not sure what it is anyone have any sugestions

if it is front wheel drive it is a cv joint aka axle, they have a rubber black cover and clamps that cover the knuckles if it is torn than your cv joint is worn out
