Question:
I loaned my car to a business associate for a weekend. When he returned it, he and I washed the interior and trunk very carefully. In a few days, though, the upholstery began to smell like meat that went bad. I checked the trunk, and we didn't miss anything. What can I do?

FebreezeIf you are able too. Than use some good upholstery cleaner, I know they make some for cars, sorry I don't know any names. Leave all the windows open or doors, and let it air out. Afterwards Febreeze the seats. And put a nice air freshener. If it does not work. Take it to a dealer, and see if they can get the smell out.

I agree with Fabreeze. Make sure you get it on all the upolstery. Also, I had an odor problem in a car a few years ago becaus of something I ran over. It actually looked like a sack of dried blood (used in gardening) but smelled a lot worse. If you have not done so already, get a good underbody wash, too. Finally, you may have to remove the seats and look for a dead mouse or some other small creature that may have expired in there.

Fabreeze works, and if all else fails once you find the source of the odor, get a spray bottle with a mixture of water and vinegar more water than vinegar. SPRINKLE baking soda over the spot and let it dry completely. then vacuum out .More Questions & Answers ...
