Question:
2001 kia sedona. 3.5 V-6. It starts and runs fine for a period of time then sputters very bad. Was checked and told cylinders 1,3,5 were missfiring. Took it to Kia and changed plugs and wires. Did not help. does not overheat so probably not head gasket. Thought it could be the coil pack, but there are 3,any help would be great. thanks jason

sounds like a bad coil pack....since you have 3 cylinders misfiring, you will have 2 bad coil packs.....to check remove the plug wire from the pack, stick something metal, like a paper clip, into end of plug wire, and hold close to the coil pack without touching any metal....is there spark? if so, then that one is good, try that on all 6, you should find 3 that do not spark.sound like coil pack, but it won't hurt to check how good is the oil supply in that head cam ,on that bank (You don't mention any sound) check if that camshaft is turning

Your coils fire 5 and 2, 1 and 4, and 3 and 6. It's not a bad coil. The common link on those three cylinders is the power feed. Notice that all six injectors feed off the same fuse, and each injector is triggered individually. But those three injectors are fed on a R/B wire, while the other three are on a BR wire. Check for power loss at the injectors. You can run a jumper from the R/B to BR for diagnosis. You very likely just have a corroded terminal at the injector harness.how can i fix my windshield cleaner..the liquid in it is frozen...how can put new liquid in it..?

Shoe sole and heel is one piece of rubber. Heel side is worn down. How fix cheap?
I'm not buying the coil pack diagnosis because I think it would be unlikely to have 2 go bad and effect only 3 cylinders. Are all three cylinders on the same bank? If so, I think that may go a long way to explain what is going on. Injectors or a problem at the rail is more likely, or a clogged catalytic converter on that cylinder bank. Since it happens only after the engine has warned up the latter seems most likely.More Questions & Answers ...
