check youre maf sensor that a airflow sensor thats right after youre airintake before ut gos in the engine. tapp on it with a screw driver if you hear the engine improve than you have a bad sensor

how many miles? what size engine? service or check engine light? could be maf, map, tps(throttle pos sensor), O2, coolant temp sensors. I had and 86 4x4 with 2.8L(130,000mi) at that point it needed the throttle body rebuilt and injectors serviced. an ASE certified mechanic would do better as you can see there is a lot going on under your hood.
