Question:
My ford XLT truck (1995) with rebuilt small v8 engine wont start while it's raining or even for quite a while after it has stopped raining. It will crank over just will not start up completely. Fuel pump/filter & plugs have been changed. Could it be cellanoid or ignition ....?

Moisture in ignition system. Distribitor cap may be cracked, allowing moisture. A quick fix is to spray WD40 on plug wires and the inside of the distributor cap. This dissipates the moisture. I would replace the wires and cap though.Citroen Saxo Temperature Gauge fault?
Next time this happens, pop off the distributor cap and see if there's moisture inside.A coworker of mine had this problem, even if it was just a damp fog outside. He said the inside of distributor cap was damp, like it had been sweating.
I told him to get a can of WD-40, and spray the outside of the distributor cap. He claimed that worked!
WD-40 displaces moisture (WD=Water Displacement).
Also, it it is a double walled cap, you could drill a small hole through just the outer wall of the cap, and another 180 degrees away through the inner cap, which will help the cap to stop sweating.
