Do auto zone, advanced auto parts, or orielys, check engine light testers can be hooked up to OBDII?

Question:

Answers:

how to replace a rear hatch window?

Unless you want to purchase one for the early vehicles, that is ALL they have is OBD II code readers.
With the advent of OBD II, all manufacturers must use the same code identifications, the same connector, and be able to read codes, pending codes, and freeze-frame with one appliance.
That said, when you ask them to read your DTCs, be certain to write them down, and then refer to a repair manual for proper diagnostics BEFORE attempting repairs.
Otherwise, you can throw a lot of parts at the car and not repair the cause, only trying to put a Band-Aid on the symptom.

Does any one know what this light means on a buick?

The device they use only reads fault codes the last fault reads first and so on. In order to diagnose you need a mechanic with real equipment. Sorry and Good Luck.

What are some good items to leave in your car emergency kit?

All the above named places, except O'Reilly Auto Parts will connect the OBDCII code reader to your vehicle, and read the codes and tell you what to do to fix them. You don't need ASE to tell you unless you are totally ignorant of auto repair, or you want to pay a fortune for something you can do for yourself.
