I need to find out what is wrong with my 1997 Infinity J30 car?

The car will not start, my brother owned the car before me, but he really doesn't know what is wrong with it. He said it might be the cam sensor or crank sensor. I really don't know what those are, but if someone could help i would appreciate it.

Cam and crank censors are sensors that tell the computer what position the cam or crank are in. If the computer doesnt know what position they are in it will not know to let the car fire. Have the car put on a computer to see if any of it's sensors are bad. Then go from there.
