Question:
When going round a corner I get a squeaking noise that sounds like a slipping fanbelt (but it's not - I have no power steering so there's nothing that could cause the fanbelt to slip). It sounds like it's coming from the front of the car. It does it with the clutch up or down so I doubt it's the CV joints. It also does it more when turning left than right. The car's just had new bottom suspension arms, brake disks/pads and track rod end ball joints. There is quite a bit of play in the steering. Any ideas what it could be?
Also the driver's side window has become very hard to open, but it's fine when closing. What can I do to sort this out? (It's a manual window.)
Why when i started my motor vehicle engine it started to jolt or shaking?
Car is a '92 1.8 N/A diesel with a stick shift.

Check out the idler arm on the front end, that would account for the play in the steering and the odd noises when turning.how to take a hub cap off a mercury?
For the window problem, take off the door panel and remove whatever it was that fell inside the door panel when the window was open. Whatever it is, it's jamming the track on the way down, but won't jam on the way up.
It might pay to get the front end looked at my car does the same thing and its the ball joints in mine Good luck.
