Answers:
Timing belt vs. Timing Chain. which is better?
First check to see that when you move the gear lever, it switches gears on the transmission. Sometimes the rods or cables that change gears go out. Or maybe you accidently unhooked one. Next, drain all tranny fluid and fill back up again to make sure you have the proper amount. If that does not fix it, take it to a tranny specialist.First thing is to check the fluid by using the dipstick that is for the transmission, make sure you check it when the car is running, warm and in the park position, when you pull the dipstick out wait 30 seconds or so before putting it back in so you don't get a false reading from unsettled fluid in the dipstick tube. Put the dipstick back in and recheck it. A transmission wont work if the fluid is correct.
