i have an 88' GMC Jimmy witha 4.3 V6 im planning on putting a 350 small block in it but im wondering what all i would have to change for the swap to work?

you shouldnt have to do anything other than dismounting the other engine and dropping the 350 in. the cassis is already made to support a 350 small block. if you were to drop in a big block you would have to do some rebuilding to the cassis but if just a 350 then no. just drop it in.If you currently have a 4.3L then you must have the T15 Jimmy (not full size). That vehicle never came with a 350 option so to get it to work will require that the entire computer system and wiring harness be changed, the radiator and cooling system increased, the transmission may fit but probably won't last long if it does, the suspension wasn't built for the weight of the V8 so that will need to be changed, the fuel routings will need to be changed, probably the fuel pump too, the list goes on and on. Oh yeah - that would also be considered tampering with federal emission components and is against the law. Best bet - go buy a full size vehicle that came with a 350 - it will be a lot cheaper!
