Question:
I posted a question about this a few days ago and got some great answers, but I'm still having trouble. The truck died in the road and wouldn't start. It doesn't seem to be getting fuel at all. We replaced the fuel filter and that didn't help. We also added gas just in case, put in 2 bottles of heet (20 gallons of gas are in the tank), replaced the fuel pump relay, checked the fuel pump fuse, and checked the fuel pump reset switch. (I think) I could hear the fuel pump coming on the first day we were working on it, but now I can't hear it at all.
ethanol fuel- why all the lies??
Today we finally replaced the fuel pump, and the truck still won't start. This was after I quit hearing the old one come on. Our next idea is to check the for voltage leading to the fuel pump. Anyone have any other suggestions? My suggestion would be a professional mechanic, but this isn't my truck. Thanks for reading.

if you hear the fuel pump and changed all the parts listed then im thinking it may not be the pump. Are you certain your getting spark to your plugs. I had the same thing happen with my 3000gt. One day it just wouldnt start, we thought it was the fuel pump, turns out it was a problem with the coils.More Questions & Answers ...
