I had my front and back brakes changed now they are VERY tight?

Question:
and the inside of the back drivers side tire where the brake hits gets VERY hot (the actual disk thing gets red) after driving about a mile and it starts to smoke and stink. Is this a bad caliber or is there some other kind of adjustments that could be done? 2001 Kia optima

Gas guage not working correctly?

i own a repair shop and who ever did your brakes really messed up big time they are going to have to re-do those for sure they got dirt in it or something,or even could have gotten the pads on wrong,i have seen this happen a few times but when they get red like this it just about ruins the rotor on a normal car,so take it back to them, they did something wrong, it sounds like the e-brake is sticking on it,but they was supposed to fix this right ,now they will have to, and it will cost them this time, but be sure and take it back, you cant drive it like this,it will get worse believe me,seen it happen a dozen times or more, good luck and be careful driving it,this can cause it to lock up,good luck.

Sorry.

Is there a good website that sells engine conversion kits?

ADDED#2
I'm thinking Master Cylinder is not releasing pressure back into the resevior when you take your foot off the brake pedal.
Or like Dodgeman said, it was put together wrong.

Who knows what the noise on the right rear of a 1997 nissan altima is?

Some of the brake pads have a "nipple" on the back of the pad mounting, on the caliper there are groves (usually 4 notches) in the outside ring of the caliper pistion. this nipple has to fit in the notch or else the pad, aside from wearing uneven, will constantly make contact with the rotor. I have seen this a few times at the shop I'm at. Every time a customer did the job and the [rear] brakes were locking up prematurly, or dragging constantly, this has been the problem if the vehicle was equipt with rear disc brakes. Either way, I would recomend taking it to a brake shop for proper diagnosis on this, as you do not want to do brakes cheaply, as they are you number 1 life saver

Which way do I turn the mixture screw to lean out the carb.?

your brake caliber may be sticking that would create the heat also if they was down to metal your routers are likely bad to.
