Can a person cause brake problems?

Question:
I lent my car to a friend for about 3 months, and now my brakes are shot. I'm wondering if it was caused by the way she drives (always pumping the brakes at lights, etc) or if it is probably just ordinary wear and tear. It irks me that the brakes did not seem bad when I lent it to her, but now they are completely ruined.
Just curious if I can give her a hard time for costing me $500+!

my car alarm remote light stays on eventhough it works fine, but the LED stays on on one remote control. Why?

People can cause brakes to wear out prematurely by the way they drive. If she drives fast and comes up on lights and brakes hard this can happen. How many miles do you have on your car. Normally you can go from 40,000 to 60,000 miles before you need brake work.

Two footed drivers will fu-k up brakes faster than anything else. If the rotors/drums are blue in color, someone is driving with the brakes on or trying to out-stop a brick wall.

how do you change a snowmobile belt ?

It is possible that she rode the brakes (held the pedal down when driving) and caused them to wear. I guess my opinion is that when you lend something, you have to consider the possibility that this will happen and be prepared for it. To complain about it now seems foolish.
