What is wrong with the heat in my '05 Nissan Altima?

Question:
Heat is only warm/hot when I rev the engine up or am actually driving. Otherwise when in neutral or idling, just blows cool air.
We moved to Florida in August and then moved back to colder climate here in MN, a few days ago. Heater worked great before move and now is doing this since the move back. Please help, I am freezing at stop lights!

that's odd, normally it's the other way around. try checking your coolant level, and if all else fails make sure your heater core isn't plugged.

could be a bad thermostat valve, or a leaky head gasket, or the coolent level, or there is a gas bubble somewhere in the works.

Your vacuum operated blend door is having problems. When you rev the engine, vacuum is good so it opens the door a bit to the heater core. At Idle, there isn't enough vacuum. It might be the diaphragm leaking.
