I cant get my bonet open!?

Question:
i have an excel, i cant open the bonet. ive checked and the cord it still attached to the lever it just doesnt do anything when i pull it. i can fit my fingers under the bonet and move the clip but it still wont open, what do i do?

Sometimes the lever gets stuck, pull the lever a little harder (the one under the dash) and if that doesn't work take a can of WD40 and spray it at the latch under the hood. let it sit for about an hour and then try again.
