my car has been over heating i took it to the shop they found out i need a thermastat and that it had burn a hole in my resaivor bottle and i needed a new hose that runs to my radiator, the radiator was also cracked he wants to charge me 650.00 is this a fair price i have a 98 mazda626?

sounds VERY cheap. Thermostat is around $25...labor should be say another $65. Then the bottle is say $85, another $40 labor, then radiator is around $550 or more and then at least 3 hours labor so say $190....or $955.....so $650 is cheap.What happened to my clutch....?

If you are replacing the parts with factory original, then the price might be about right. If your auto shop will work with after market parts (Napa Auto has radiator for $239 - part# NR 2891), you could probably save on the radiator with a generic version that fits multiple vehicles. You might want to have the cooling system flushed and pressure tested to ensure you haven't had any other damage (head gasket or cracks in the block).
