This speeds idle up when steering.
This is a good place to start looking.
by turning your steering wheel your power steering pump pumps and forces the belt a lil so makes the motor need more vaccum for its sensors and makes your trotle position sensor starve for vaccum wich it is controled by. so im figuring you have either of two things your timeing is backed up or you have a busted Vaccum!good luck and happy new years!
Should I keep my car after a major accident or replace it?
your power steering pump may be going bad, or it might be low on fluid.can you mix the oil you put in your car?
You're probably driving a piece of SHlT!I have a Renault Laguna (51 plate) with screen wash problems.?
Well, there could be a few reasons. . . I am going to assume that it has power steering. When you turn the wheel, the power steering pump is having to work harder. Do you hear a growling/whining noise? If so, your power steering pump could be failing, or starving, check your fluids. Is it hard to steer? It is hard to give a completely reliable answer without seeing it first hand, however. . . You may also have a problem with an emissions control device, where it has a hard time idling as it is, perhaps your Idle air control valve is at its' limits, do you have a check engine light on, if so, I would definnetly think about getting that checked first, many auto parts houses like Autozone will check the codes for free. May be a simple vacuum leak, or something more in depth. Send me some more info on your car, and I will try to help more. Specifically year/make/model, does it have A/C, and if you have a check engine or SES (Service Engine Soon) light on. Also, if you do, get the codes pulled and let me know what they are. srcash@yahoo.com Good Luck, ScottCar is blowing cold air from heater and engine is getting hot?
if your car is dieing when you turn at an idle then you might want to check the idle specification for your car as it is probably set to low. usually a car , when in gear and moving, will maintain an idle sufficient to maintaine safe operation. if your car dies when you are not moving but are in gear and turn the wheel then you may have too big of tire for the car creating too much resistance when turning the wheel for the engine to handle at an idle. Check the Idle and timing.More Questions & Answers ...
