Question:
I recently put a 4bbl manifold on my 77 mustang II. The manifold was stamped 289 on the bottom and the temp sending unit was a 1/4" pipe thread the temp sending unit on and my old manifold was 3/8" pipe thread. Well I found one to fit it, but now my temp reads too high on the gauge. I'd like to keep the factory look of the manifold, so I don't want to use reduces or couplers. It has a 180 deg. stat. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there anyway to make a car seat cover homemade for Ford Escorts?
Drill it out and tap it to 3/8".You may not have a choice but to use reducers. Check to see if you have enough manifold boss there to have this manifold drilled and re threaded to 3/8". that may be the best option.
Engine turning but car not starting..? 2002 Olds Alero?
go to a parts store and ask the man at the counter for a water temp sending unit for a 1/4 thread for a guage with a 12 volt system not a idiot light. If the man knows what he is doing, he will have one in his hand in minutes from an old american motors or jeep or what ever as long as it is ford, american motors or Chrysler, you're in ballpark. GM won't work.ps,my recent car is a 49 ford changed to ,12 v system, with a Chev 350 engine , ford sender works good
drill the hole out and rethread it so the original unit will screw down in.
