i own a shop and you can pull the trigger with it not being in the tank ,,its been done before,and it will shoot about 3 feet usually,but its real easy to do,there's no safety device on it to prevent this from happening,good luck,,,PS don't burn nothing down ok,lol,good luck.1988 Ford F-150 starter problems?

Try this game: Put a lit cigarette on the ground about 5 feet away from you...then get the gas hose, and aim for the cigarette...first one to hit it...wins. (And the beauty is, he wont be around to collect...and neither will you!) [JUST KIDDING...don't try this at home (or in a gas station) folks!]
3 or 4 ft. it's pumping volume not pressure.The cigarette deal,the fuel will put it out.Spark will ignite the fumes not the liquid itself.
