This was a 1992 Plymouth Colt automatic wasn't it. I already answered this. You have a more serious problem. Something broke the rocker arms. Like a Valve hitting the top of a piston. Did you check the timing belt or chain to see if it had jumped a tooth or two. There's a reason it didn't start in the first place. Take a compression test.

check valve lash does engine turn over if enginge doesnt turn over valves are to tight and valves are adjusted to u have to say if its ford chevy toyota etc try loosening your valves first good luck
