When applying Liquid Gasket...?

Question:
I have a atv engine, that I guess needs "center case gasket" to be replaced, but from the looks of it, this model. Yamaha Blaster does not have a case gasket, (between left case, and right case)
They say to use like Three Bond liqid bond sealer, and if I do, Do I need to split the case? or can I just apply to the out side of the two halfs still together?

If you're lucky, you can split the case enough to scrape off the old stuff and apply the new sealer.Otherwise it's probably a major disassembly.

you need to apply it in between where the two connect. applying to the outside will not support the pressure from the engine.

When you are applying liquid gasket you need to put it in the two parts that need to be sealed together. You need to split it.
