Better take it to your dealership for repairs. I wouldn't take any risk unless they are the one to say your vehicle is fine.
Should I change out my alternator soon?
I have the SAME problem but I took into the shop and they told me the circuit has a short and it won't go off. Maybe it should be a recall thing but oh well cause I have the same car.does a BMW 3 series E46 have a relay for the wipers as the wipers stop working if so where is it?
i own a repair shop, and it could have a sensor going bad on it that's making it do this, you can take it to any auto zone and have them, scan it to see if it does have any trouble codes in it,its free, and it will tell you what it is maybe, some of those, the check engine light would come on,and there wouldn't be anything wrong with them at all ,but id at least have them scan it,and see if it is any bad sensors on it,good luck i hope this help,s.I am no mechanic, but I have a friend who is one. According to him - any time that the Check Engine light is on, it should not be ignored. With the proper diagnostic equipment your vehicle will flash a code which will indicate just where the problem is. He says that if you ignore the light for too long - eventually the computer in the vehicle will suffer an overload and quit. Then - you not only will have to replace what caused the light to go on in the first place, but you may well have to also replace the computer for the engine-!!
many answers the o2 sensor is where i would start.it could be as simple as a tune up.it misses just a little and drops compression the light comes on have it checked if they cant find anything usually the can still turn off the light//
At low revs, in heavy traffic, my brake pedal becomes solid as if my brakes are on & dragging?
the light is telling you the computer in you explorer detects something wrong( sensor, valve, ect). have the codes pulled from it at your local autoshop. probably oxygen sensor is the culprit. they tend to carbon up.( sometimes you can clean them in mineral spirits and they work fine.Where can I buy new ac/delco parts on-line?
Take your vehicle to Autozone and ask them to read your code, the check engine light can be any number of things. My mother in laws is on now becasue the EGR valve is stuck (1996 Explorer 5.0), i pulled it, cleaned it and the light went off, and in 2 weeks it came back on again with the same code....I have an 87 ford ranger and iwant to know if the lug pattern is the same on a2003 ranger?

DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYBODY, IF THEY TRY TO TELL YOU TO REPLACE ANY SENSORS, BEFORE THOSE CODES ARE DIAGNOSED!!
what is the average cost for a clutch on a 92 Corolla?
You need to have a mechanic diagnose this concern with a proper scan tool that has access to live data. Information that is especially useful is the freeze frame data (the values of all the sensor readings when the codes were set). This means that he can actually "see" what is going on with your engine electronic control system, NOT those cheesy code readers that only display the code, which is about as good as trying to read Chinese, if you don't have a clue to it's meaning! Based on those codes, it tells me you have a vacuum leak somewhere. If it's the 4.0L OHV V6 engine, I can tell you that they commonly leak vacuum from the upper-to-lower intake gaskets. The reason for this, is because the gaskets on that particular engine are made out of thin paper that tend to squish through. The fuel injector rail is "sandwiched" between the upper and lower manifolds by the said paper gaskets. The gaskets themselves are not expensive at all. The labour to replace them will depend on who you take your vehicle to have them replaced. Also check for improperly seated or cracked PCV hoses, they can cause vacuum leaks as well. A dirty MAF (mass air flow) sensor can cause the codes you listed, but it is less likely. DO NOT replace the O2 sensors, or EGR valve as others are advising you to do. They obviously don't have a clue as to what the cause of your problem is.
Most common self-healing problem, the light comes on and then goes off is because you forgot to tighten the gas cap when you filled up.
