I own a 91 Honda Accord and the shifter has locked up on me....?

I am unable to move it without manually putting my key in and putting it into neutral and then starting up the car. Any advice? Thank you!

Some (most/all?) automatic cars have a safety whereas it will not shift from park unless the brakes are depressed. If you are in fact pressing the brake when trying to shift out park, then possibly the signal to the transmission from the brake telling it that the brakes are applied is not working.
