i have a 1996 ford ranger,2.3 engine,5 speed trans.can this be done without changing the steering box?i bought this truck this way .its not to bad to turn when moving but form a stop it gets a bit hard.the person i got it from purchased it new this way

Chuck Norris doesn't need power steering. The vehicle turns out of fear.Find a Ranger in a salvage yard with power steering. You will need the pump, hoses, brackets, and steering gear box. Good luck.
i own a shop and no it cant,you have to have the power steering box off of another truck,other wise you,ll have nothing to hook the hoses too,you can add the pump but that still wouldn't give you power steering without changing the steering box also,good luck with it.
