does anyone know any female auto technicians, and if so what do you think about them working in a male dominated field?

it's no different than any other field. with the proper instruction, a mechanic is still a mechanic. they just have different curves.

There continues to be a major shortage of qualified technicians. Most of the major auto companies have training programs, some in conjunction with junior/technical colleges. They have had very good success with women working in the field. Good technicians in dealerships earn in the mid 5-figure to the low 6-figure incomes.
